I have seen a few saying that it is hard to get a good sounding tundra for less than $2000 or you should just stay with the factory system unless you spend 2-3K

If on a budget and can do the install yourself, you should be able to do it for $1000

Everything I am listing has been talked about on car audio forums and is good to go. It will sound way better than anything factory.

    Total $ 999.90

    Notes.

The Kenwood has a lot of adjustments in it. Time alignment, able to run active, 5V preamp output.

The silver flute 6.5 speakers are crazy good for $70 l
Also the massive CT2 tweeters are good and a good match with the silver flute woofers.

On the Blaupunkt subwoofer. Go watch some videos or read some reviews on them. On guy on caraudio.com forum was flexing the roof on his suv with one 8 inch sub
Someone else on two 10 inch subs was able to hit over 140db
Someone else did eight of them in a t-line box on 1500 watts and hit 145db.
They also claim that it has good sound quality for a subwoofer below $100

Youtube has a lot of videos on how to install everything in a tundra.

You must install new wires from the amp to the tweeters and 6.5 inch in the front doors.
On the front doors you should be able to go through the boot and not have to drill out anything.
You will need to do this to be able to tune the tweeter and the 6.5 independent from each other.

Do not worry about rear speakers. IF you run a 2 way active front stage you will not need the rear speakers anyway.

There are other ways of cutting cost a little here and a little there.
If going with used equipment or closeout sales on ebay could probably get under $900

With this list do not think you are loosing out on anything or sound quality.
The Kenwood has great specs for a head unit.
The Silverflute speakers are really good.
The massive CT2 tweeters are really good.
    The NVX amplifiers are good.
The 8 inch sub, will probably surprise you with what it can do for a low power subwoofer if put in the right enclosure. I would try .75-.80 sq feet per subwoofer tuned at 38-42hz range

If I were to add or upgrade and did not mind going over $1000 a little.
    1. Sound deadening material
    2. Idatalink Maestro
    3. Add a 2nd blaupunkt 8 inch subwoofer. Just adds a little more work and cost to the box.
