Earlier this year we contacted Toyota about the bad luck had with 2022 Toyota Tundra. Replaced 2 engines, yes 2 engines before 35,000 miles. Had metal shavings in oil. Thats about all i know about it. Within a month , Toyota repurchased the vehicle, at purchase price, plus tax , title , license , and other fees, minus mileage. it was a quick process. My guess they are use to the process. There must be something wrong with the engine, sometimes. But , we like the customer service , and decided to purchase another Toyota vehicle because of their customer service and the way they handled the problem we had. Its a machine, nothing is perfect.

Hate to hear that on the engines but glad to hear they looked out for you. We just got through a similar situation with jeep but they drug it out for 14 months even with a lawyer involved before they finally settled. Needless to say I’ll never own another Chrysler product again

Had the same issues with a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado after over 2 years and a lawyer they bought the truck back. I am so glad you had a better experience with Toyota.

Very good to hear, kinda restores the faith I have had for 45 years. A friend fought tooth and nail to have a Jeep Rubicon lemon lawed back to Jeep

Not like they have a choice. Is cheaper to replace them lemons than getting sued for millions? innit?

Look up ford in the 80's with the thick film ignition module. Kept their head in the sand until people started getting killed from stalling on freeways etc. That was much less than an engine. Personally had a Cougar in there countless times for the issue.

Sorry to hear the problems, at least you tried and maybe Toyota will tear it down to learn more on what's going on. What new model did you go with ? Congrats !

Glad to hear somewhere deep in the bowels of Toyota at least one employee that is still customer centric

The call in experience with 1-800 Toyota is dreadful. Outsourced to another country appears to me. My one experience with Toyota getting a real problem fixed is Lexus 15 years ago. They just repeat "We are Lexus we dont have problems" until you give up. I was getting the feeling that approach was so good at cost avoidance for Lexus that Toyo adopted it

Great example of customer service. That's the Toyota I remember...
