I just pulled the trigger on an 8" ReadyLift kit for my 2018, and now the worries have started. TSS problems, warranty issues, will it be too egregious looking, etc.

Anyone else get like this before a major change with their truck? I am a bit OCD, so not sure if it is just me being uptight....

As long as you looked at pics of what it's gonna look like and you liked it, then you should be fine.

If anyone doesn't they have too much money! LOL I just did my 8" ReadyLift with front/rear 5100's, 37x13.5 on -44 offset 22" Hostile Rage. Everything looks, drives and feels great. Surprisingly smooth! Unfortunately, my front right UCA bolt decided to harikari or take a permanent vacation so it's being towed as we speak. Due to restrictions on time I kept the stock UCA so I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it (I doubt it) but I'd go ahead and shoot for the ReadyLift UCA's while you're in there.

Nice man! Got any pictures? Sorry you had a UCA issue. Sounds like some bad luck there...

Thanks, man! Stings a little but it’ll work out lol I like the 22x12 -44 since I’m going with pocket flares. Otherwise, I’d go with 22x10 -25. I only offer this bc I AM the most extreme case of what you’ve described haha I can’t tell you how many build threads, google searches, visits to custom trucks shops etc I’ve made before pulling the trigger.

Lifting a vehicle has its ups and downs for sure. If you have legit ocd, your in for some stressing out moments.
Something is eventually going to come up with suspension that you don’t know what the hell is wrong. You just have to roll with the punches when you have a lifted truck.

One of my subcontractors have a 8" with 37s and I think it looks awesome. It is a little too much for me having it as my daily driver and wife and kids need to get in and out of it, but I still think it looks killer. He does not have any issues with it, other than reduced MPGs which he does not care about - company card pays for gas since it is his work truck.

Yeah I drive 5K miles a year so I don't care about MPG. I already told my wife that my smallest 10 year old may need a ramp...lol

That will be just great then. I do more than 30,000 miles a year, so it starts to make a difference.

I recently put a bds 7 with foxs and had the same thoughts, when you see it done , every hesitation you had will disappear, you will just grin every time you see your truck..mine rides amazing and actually feels like a truck like my 2nd gen,3rd gen kinda drove like a car to me till I lifted it and widened the stance over a foot

Idk about you guys but I was getting 12/13 pre-lift and I’m still at a solid 10 around town.

And yes a huge grin at this big ass toy every time I see it! Not to mention the old lady is scared to drive it so she doesn’t bug me about it anymore LOL

Amp power steps are the answer, my seven year old can get in by himself, my 4 year old just needs a bit of help.

My only concern would be making sure that the kit is installed properly. Just make sure that does the install know what they are doing. That has always been my biggest fear of anyone doing work on any of my vehicles! Can’t wait to see some pics after your done!!!!

Great call. I think I got lucky and found a local shop that specializes in Jeeps and Toyotas. Little pricey, but they will do the alignment and retorque as part of it. I just need to find a way to hide the kit for a while so I can figure out the excuse how I paid for it and then new tires and wheels. lol.

After it's installed, just tell the Mrs. that it must have been stung by a bee and that it must be allergic, because it swole up.
