got rid of the weak interior lights MESSO

Had the Messo lights in my Taco and now in the Tundra. Really disappointed in the factory ones. These are 1000% better than factory. I bit pricy at $150.00 for the front and rear. Messo Customs has them still in stock on their site.

Is there any other alternate color than red? Not really into that either which is why I’m holding off.

 

My taco had the red as second color also and never used it. Left it on led clear all the time like these. These will never see the red button push. lol.

 

Wish these had a low/high white instead of red/white. A few people have said the white is too bright.

 

^^^ THIS. I would totally be on board with that. Or even just a warm white/daylight white difference. I’ve started to like more of the warmer whites - not straight up yellow, but a little warmer. A little easier on the eyes

Will the factory lens go back over the Meso map lights, when installed?

I tried them on my 2014 and they were way too bright at night.


But the fronts on the Gen 2.5 seem slightly bigger than the Gen 3 lights.

Yeah, I think I will hold off for now. I don’t like how dim the stock lights are in my 3rd gen, but I don’t need them to be brighter than the sun either. Hopefully their next batch will be dual white.

Bright is good when I want it bright which in not every time the door opens.

Have default low like factory, button for sunshine and a diffuser.

Don't recall seeing a upper level vehicle from the factory with exposed leds. For the price of these units, they need to be quality and look quality.

 

I just put these in on my 2023. Is it me or does the back light only illuminate when approaching the truck? Then when you open the front doors the front two lights illuminate? I just noticed this after install of the Meso lights. Is this normal?

 

Noticed this also last night. Thought the front did also before the Messo lights were installed. I could be wrong and not sure.

 

I just sent off an e-mail to Meso asking for support on this matter. Seems others have noticed this behavior as well. Definitely not the same as the factory funtion.

super bright for sure , just way too much for me for everyday use, that has to just fry your night vision , no?

 

My fronts and rears turn on when I open the front door. I'll check to see which ones turn on when I approach

My tint is so dark that I cant tell if something turns on when I approach. Couldnt see anything turn on this morning but I had sunlight already. Do the original lights turn on during the day when you approach?

 

Yes the turn on day or night as you approach.

 

This must be a setting in the head unit…?

 

Im wondering this too...maybe I have this turned off? Front and rear MESOs turn on when I open a door...but I dont think any of them turn on when I get close to the truck

 

Is anyone else having about a half-second delay/lag when opening the front doors to get in/out for the front map lights to come on? The back is instant but the front maps lag behind
