Google Assistant/ Tundra

Anyone know how to setup google assistant from iPhone for the Toyota connected services?

You can supposedly lock and unlock, start and stop your tundra by asking google. I just can’t seem to find the Toyota app within the Google assistant with an iPhone

 

I am not sure about using Google, I just use the Toyota app to start and stop the truck, and to unlock and lock the doors.

 

Thought maybe it would be easy to just say “hey google” and not even pick up the phone. I finally got it synced...took forever, but it’s not easier. The app is easier. Lol.

It’s actually not that bad. But you have to say

“hey google”
“Ask Toyota to start my truck”

toyota assistant asks “what is your pin” ( you set that up in the beginning”

“####”

Toyota assistant “thanks I’m reaching out to the TRD Pro to start the engine”
And it starts. And you get the notification from the Toyota connected app at the same time.

 

I hardly ever use it because I hate that the engine shuts off when you open the door, but it is nice knowing it’s there.

 

I too hate that with Tundra remote start. Can’t believe it shuts off.
