After a few years of lugging around a giant phone and being happy using it as the GPS in my truck, I decided to go back to a tiny phone - the iphone 12 mini. Now it's got me thinking I should consider upgrading the head unit in the truck. I'm not a big audio guy so I really don't need an improvement in sound. I'm just looking for some feedback on the best (within reason) head unit for wireless apple carplay and one that my front camera will work with. I have the FRAC harness from TundraTex and would like to keep all that and the steering wheel controls working. I use GPS a lot so would like something that makes the GPS feature in the iphone easily useable. I don't think GPS built into the head unit is that necessary, but would be willing to pay a little extra for it if it means getting a better overall HU.

Truck is a 2019 TRD Sport CM.

    Thanks!

Most aftermarket head units give you the same features as the FRAC. Just look for one with a second (or 3rd/4th) camera input. Get a Maestro RR and you can activate any of your cameras at any time. I’m pretty sure any of them that are high end enough for wireless CarPlay will include the second camera input.
