Tomorrow is gonna be the maiden voyage for the tundra tomorrow....not a lot, just a 4 seater Kawasaki teryx and a Polaris sportsman on an 18ft car hauler

Should be a piece of cake from what I've seen. Have fun.

Should be easy day, I just pulled an 18ft car hauler and the truck did great. 70mph on the highway with ease.

Do you have the integrated brake controller? If so how's it working out for you?

Good to hear! Yes I do, and all good so far but until tomorrow I've only toted the trailer around empty

Were you able to get the trailer tires to lock up with the empty trailer?

Well no, but I had the gain at 3 or 4 and never tried to make them lock em up. What am I missing here? Are there issues with it? What are they?

Yeah, many have had issues with it not performing well. I had my gain set to 10 when I pulled my 18ft car trailer last week and could never achieve lock up, that's why I was curious.

Before leaving with a trailer, you should always test the trailer brakes. Roll forward 2-5 mph and manually use the brake controller to stop the truck.

You can also use the controller at full power and try to pull forward.

Either way, if the brakes don't stop you or prevent you from rolling forward, something isn't right.

There is another check to do for testing the emergency braking system, but I would just start there for now.

Most states it is mandatory to have two functioning braking axles on trailers over 3000 lbs. I am required on my trailer before I put anything on it.
