Hi all, have been eyeing a nice blue 2008 Crewmax 4x4 with 103k on it. I'm a complete newb to Toyota Tundras (previously Nissan and Ford trucks in my life).

Was wondering if there's anything I should look out for on these trucks in particular? I feel like 103k isn't bad mileage considering the brand reliability...but I'm hoping some of you experts can point me in the right direction.

    Thanks for your help!

Check for rust if you're searching in that part of the country. Seems like cam towers seep but it's usually not a serious issue.

Frame rust if in salted road regions. Seems to really be hard on them.
Check overall condition, ask for carfax or maybe get a quick subscription.

Also, If it has drop in plastic bed liner you need to inspect underneath as well for rust. There have been a few affected adversely.

Check the bed underneath and on top where the bed mounts to the frame. Multiple threads of tundra beds rusting from the underside up, not because of a plastic bed liner but because of a manufacturing defect. There was even a TSB issued for the problem.
