    Hi all,

Wanting to add electronic running boards to my tundra, I have pretty much decided on Go Rhino E1's, but was wondering if anyone had views on doing the 2 bracket or 3 bracket model? Obviously 3 bracket seems to be more sturdy, but at $350 more dollars is it worth it over the 2 bracket?

    Thanks!

I got the 2-bracket kit for my double cab and they were fine. Plenty sturdy. Hard to imagine why those idler brackets are $175 apiece. The boards are 80" for the DC whereas the crew cab's are 87" so they might flex more? IDK.

I had to send the E1s back for a refund anyway because they just didn't work for me ergonomically. They actually made it harder to get in and out of the truck than I could do from the ground. They only drop about 2 1/2" below the sill so were more like fixed running boards in function that just happen to hide away.

Having said all that, if you got the 2-bracket version and didn't believe they were sturdy enough, you could always buy and add the idler brackets later.
