Just bought a trd pro and didn’t realize it but there is a gun safe in the center console.

seems good for it’s purpose but I have no need.

Does anyone know how to remove?? I don’t see mounts or bolts anywhere

Bolts should be inside, under the foam pad.

Yes they are under the foam mat, but more importantly, we want pics of the truck :D.

And you don’t have to store your firearm there.
It’s good for locking all sorts of items.
When using my remote start app, I put my wallet and keys inside of mine.

Mine is a mess right now...needs to be cleaned out. I have spare camper keys, my veePeak obd adapter, wheel lock key, etc in there. Not to mention about 10 lbs of change lol.

I use it as backup change for when my son wants Gatorade at his martial arts gym.

Agree - it’s useful for many things

The console is huge - unless you need that space for something - it makes a nice addition to lock things up and organize storage.

Very nice if you have one that allows you to put the tray on top too - not immediately obvious you have a console safe - keeps nosy passengers, valets and service techs from seeing it.

i use the safe when i take my truck out on the beach. i can leave my windows open and have my keys and wallet locked in the safe. sometimes i hide snacks in there when i’m driving with my bros.

I'm actually looking to add one, not just for a handgun, but also a lot of other things mentioned above. I really don't use the center console for much, so it will actually increase my use of the console. I do have a small tray in mine now, which is handy.

On the bright side you can probably sell it quick here.

I love mine. I can secure the keys to my under seat storage and spares to my bed cover and not have to keep them on my keychain. I might keep additional things that can make loud noises in emergency situations if needed.

I had one installed. I love it. It's such a great option to have for organization of that cavernous console.

I’ve been thinking about getting one of these but was waiting to see if there was any Labor Day sales. What brand is it and are you willing to sell?

Pretty sure I lived in an apartment with a smaller shower/tub than the console.

You may not need or use it for a gun, it is a great storage divider. I would keep it. Unless you are afraid it is a radical gun safe and will try to chop off you hand if you put anything other than a gun in there

New Tundra owner here. You just made my day. Coming from Ford I was spoiled with the keypad. I have tried locking my keys in the Tundra with the Connect app and it hasn't worked. Threw them in the safe and what do ya know....worked great. I'm always in the woods or on the lake and hate to bring my keys with me. Really glad to have found this forum and this info. Thanks!

Can someone tell me a safe unit that allows me to use my top tray as well?
