Good afternoon just got my first tundra this weekend a 2007 with 111,000 miles. It has the 4.7 V8 she will be used primarily for surfing expeditions in the Outer Banks and the southern Outer Banks of North Carolina. Going to get it under coated with rust proofing, seeing as how right now has zero rust on the frame, just a shout out from Emerald Isle

Welcome! I'd make it a point to learn how to turn off the nannies in case they hinder the Tundras 4wd performance in the sand. I'm not sure they would, just want you to be prepared. Hopefully someone with experience will chime in.

Truck does great in the sand only thing needed was to drop tires down to 30-28 psi 7 miles down the beach in the soft sand with no issues. Honestly I did not expect any issues I have been driving on the beach all my life.
but good information to know thanks for sharing

The nannies aren't an issue until you hit a point where one wheel loses traction. On pavement it isn't really a detriment, ie. when it's raining, but true off road terrain and you need acceleration to that wheel without hindrance, and then it's a problem. The "LSD" in these trucks is just automated brake control - hardly LSD at all.
