I just returned from a camping trip where my propane (or is it butane) Heater Buddy let me down.

I just about froze in my camper shell. During past trips the heater worked reasonably well.

I'm wondering if I were to get a Genesis Dual Battery set up if there would be enough power in the second battery to run an electric space heater for an hour in the evening before going to bed and then another hour in the morning.

I am open to other methods to heat the back of my camper shell as well.

    Thanks.

How did your heater buddy fail you? Run out of propane after four hours? If so, you can buy a conversion hose that allows you to use a big tank instead of the little ones.

Something is not right. The heater should roast you in such a small space. I have the big buddy and I have to turn it off in small spaces after a little bit to keep from roasting, even while only using one side of the heater.

In the past I was a huge cheerleader for my Heater Buddy. It turned the back of my truck into a sauna.

But this trip, plus it started a bit on my last trip, the heater kept turning itself off.

At first I thought it was the oxygen sensor kicking in, but I kept opening the windows of my shell wider and wider and it still cut out.

I've read several reviews and it seems to be a fairly common problem.
