Someone told me it was a good idea to drain 3 qts of transmission fluid and replace with new fluid every time I change the engine oil. I've heard worse ideas but i'm curious if anyone else is doing this?

I did it at 2 consecutive oil changes in the 45-50k range and then at 100 and my 09 shifted like brand new at 13 yrs 113k when I traded her.

Some might tell you every 30. Every oil change is a bit much

I see my mistake it was only 1 of the 3 quarts of transmission fluid. Still seems excessive.
