I have Terragrapplers now purely for the weight savings cause it was the only P rated 295/70r18 around. But they are terrible in the wet. My Wildpeaks AT3W on my last truck I think are the best tires I have owned. I wish they made them in more sizes P rated I would not think twice about getting them again.

I did a search on this thread for "ring" and "hubcentric" and found people asking the same question but no answers yet. So, here it goes. My truck is going into the shop tomorrow (12/12) for its Ikon lift to be installed. A few days ago, I picked up my 17x8.5 +35 Method 706's wrapped in Falken Wildpeak 315/70-17 from Discount tire. They said it needed a lift before they would let me drive out with them. Anyway, they gave me rings and lug nuts and sent me on my way to take everything to lift shop. I was test fitting to trim away some of the rear fender liner only to discover Discount gave me the wrong rings and wrong sized lug nuts. It's Sunday so I can't do anything about it today. Does anyone know the specs on the rings that I do need? Measuring the stock wheel it looks like 95mm ID. The ring they gave me measure about 78mm ID. Frustrating. I hope Discount has what I need tomorrow.

    Thanks for any assistance.

I used 95mm to 106mm for my Wheels. I may be wrong, but I think 78mm is for GM.

95mm is our hub size and it depends on your wheel hub to determine your needed rings.

I temporarily used lug centric lugs without running rings until my hub centric rings came in. Lug size is M14x1.5….I used these.

DYNOFIT 14mmx1.5 Wheel Lug Nuts, 32x Black M14x1.5 Lug Nut,Conical/Cone Bulge Seat, Closed End Long Extended XL Spline with 1 Socket Key Fits 8 Lug Aftermarket Wheels https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078RJ6GK6

    WHEEL CONNECT Hub Centric Rings, 106 to 95.1, Set of 4, Aluminium Alloy Hubrings, O.D:106mm I.D 95.1mm. A https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BH3RB3TZ

These rings fit perfect. And the reassurance also is a plus.

I'm looking at this tire size as well.

Did you consider the Cooper AT3 4S, and if so, what made you decide on the Falkens?

@charlieyankee88 - Are you happy with the BFG KO2 in the snow? I got a Limited TRD OR coming in a couple of months and plan to get those tires on it before it leaves the dealer. I live in Winnipeg, Canada… snow on the ground over half the year. It’s a place where - in certain months - you only leave home to take your kids to hockey or get beer.

They also have great reviews. I just went with a brand I recognize and I like the look. Great snow reviews.

Can confirm the TRD center cap PT280-34221-2F fit the platinum wheels, no dust cap modifications required. It sits low enough there is no interference

oh man, awesome, can you get a close up of the cap from the side? it sits perfectly flush? so you just popped it off and the other one went right in? and its tight so it wont fall off?

It's perfectly flush and popped in same as the OE caps would. Pleasant surprise for sure as I figured I'd have to mod the dust caps

No worries! Glad I could contribute somewhat. Next time I'm out I'll get a better picture of the whole truck, I totally agree, the wheels look decent with black lugs and toned down center caps. Now I just need to de-chrome the grille surround and call it a day...

ya, I have a deal with my dealer that they will replace grill surround and fender flares to color match, I will then likely swap out the tires to Cooper at3 4s 33" p-rated, keep the stock wheels and do this black lug center cap treatment and call it a day.

The only thing Im on the fence on is leave the tailgate top piece black or color match that too. I may just wait to see how that looks with the black piece on the back before swapping it out. The grill surround and flares have to color match for me though.

Got a great deal on a set of takeoffs for my Limited. When funds become available, I plan to get Cooper AT3 4Ss in 275/60R20.

I like the Geolandar X-CVs and will be using them in the winter.

@Hanny-Tundra this is my third set. I had two over the time I owned my Tacoma. I have always lived in snowy climates, not as bad as you, but in the inland pacific. For me these tires have performed very well. I would recommend them. I hope they come out with a 285 75 R18 in the future because I like the taller skinnier profile for snow and other reasons. Hope this helps, congrats on truck.

Nice, I wish my dealer would have been able to put something like that together for me. I have most of the pieces now, just waiting on a light bar and some time to swap everything over. I'm sticking w/ the black tailgate insert and flares, actually don't mind how they look

I got them from Canadian Lug Nut and Wheel. One thing to be mindful of, the lugs are a 22mm (like the previous gen Tundra) not a 21mm like the current gen

I just keep a 22mm socket and breaker bar behind the seat. Eventually when the 21mm OEM black lugs are more readily available I might swap these out but they do the job for now

I have not test-fitted these on the 3rd gen Tundra. I could do that if anyone locally is interested at taking a look.

Is it strange that although I am excited to lift the truck and put my new method 305’s and Falken 35’s on that I really enjoy the stock look of my truck and my miss it?

I don’t have a picture yet (because dirt and snow) but 275/65/20 WILL fit on a TRD Sport stock with no lift and no rub. This has been a concern because they’re a bit lower. Posting because I only found that information by searching forever so wanted to post refreshed info!

Did you find a tire in 275/65R20 that is SL or P-rated?
