Hey ...This is my 1st post but this forum helped me with the modifications that I chose to do. I went with the rough country 1 and 3/4 inch leveling kit and then added the Cooper Discoverer AT3 35X 12.5 R18 tires. I have a very slight rub when reversing to the right but otherwise no worries. I will try to figure out the rub tomorrow .

It’s the 12.5 width. I went with 11.5 on stock wheels to avoid this

Cooper discoverer AT3’s 37x12.5r17(68lbs) on 17x9 +12offset Black Rhino Rapids(23lbs), with the Westcott 3 and 1 level kit. My installer did zero trimming of anything and said he just had to play around with the fender liners to get them out of the way. Face of the tires just barely, barely touch the end of the frame coming from under the cab, but only with full lock while in reverse. Absolutely love the setup

Thanks! Got it edited to show the Westcott 3 and 1 level kit, knew I was forgetting something.

I didn't think shops would put a 35x12.5 on those stock rims. Was told they are to narrow at 7.5in wide.

I've heard you need a wheel spacer with the 35's with stock TRD 20" wheels but if you go with a 35 x 11.5 instead of a 35 x 12.5 do you still need them? Trying to get the biggest tire on the TRD Sport with not having to lift or add spacers. Anyone have this exact setup that can answer? Thanks.

Ya, not sure about that. I seem to recall that these tires fit range was 7, 8, 9 inch with 8 being optimal but can't be 100% sure without researching again.

I checked Cooper XLT specs after my conversations with the shop and confirmed they were correct. So I thought new wheels were required, maybe I need to look around for a new shop.

Good lord! Doesn't look too stuffed at all with 37s and 3/1. Looks amazing! Damn.. need to find a way to justify a new set of 17s and 37s without the without the wife getting angry lol

Was this done at Discount Tire? Any issues with the 17s with balancing weights clearing the caliper?

Had a local guy out in the country who has a small business doing this kind of stuff, he did everything, lift, mount, balance and alignment. Had no issues with wheels clearing. If you go aftermarket wheels you need to get lug nuts too. I almost ordered some black ones off Amazon to take with everything else to the shop but once I saw I already had black I assumed I could just use the stock lug nuts. I was wrong, they’re too fat to fit inside the stud holes of the wheel, luckily he had an extra set that would fit at his shop.
Go Rhino RB20’s full size not the slim version.

Very Nice…when I get done with these 295’s (or impatience kicks in) I hope to step up to 37s on 18 Rhinos (so will need a different tire as I don’t think those discoverers come in 37 and 18).

Either way I am pleased to see you didn’t have to remove the little crash frame piece on the inner front wheel well.

No rubbing on the UCA with stock wheels? or did you use wheel spacers?

I used stock TRD Sport rims. 2 1/2” spacer on front 285/65R20 Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws. Love the setup! No rub and rides great!D79ADC63-2457-4926-8A7B-237438B8A5D3.jpgFF15221A-5BC6-40C1-9FA3-A400750934EA.jpg

Depends on the wheels but seems like most people are able to run 17s but the weights need to be towards the front or back of the wheel well, can’t remember which one haha the tech should be able to figure it out though

Most seem to fit but not all…saw some YouTube videos on different designs from the same brand in which one had issues and the other didn’t bait those seem to be in the minority for most of the common ones we are hearing about.

placement of weights and such is also key…techs will help figure that out though.

Love that look. are 33s the biggest you can put on without a lift or spacers? I love the stock rims but want different tires. I want to keep it looking as stock as possible but was thinking of doing spacers/leveling with a 1'' lift.

you can do 35x11.5 on stock everything by pinning the fender liner back

For AVS it is 2” upfront and 7/8” in the rear. Then another roughly 1.5” from the change in tire size.

    Oem trd caps for a '10-'21 4runner.
Custom retrofit on the KMC Center caps. Used a Dremel to cut out 'KMC' and epoxy to glue the trd caps on. They're not perfect. Imperfections up close.

Can someone give me the largest metric size for a tire on stock that you can get without rubbing? (20" TRD wheels)
