I have a 2013 Gen 2 5.7 with 82,000 miles and it was a Florida truck. I moved to the mountains and decided to replace my stock brake pads with carbon ceramic as well as flushing and replacing brake fluid. All went well for a few months, then suddenly all four of my brakes locked up and wouldn't release. It was avery cold night, so I assumed the brakes were literally frozen (water/condensation in line??) so I again flushed and replaced the brake fluid and it seemed to fix the problem. Another few weeks went by without issue and then it happened again! This time the outside temps were above freezing but all my brakes were again locked and the brake lights were on. I played with them a bit and they eventually unlocked. I began to think that I might have a master cylinder problem, so I ordered and replaced the old MS and that fixed that problem. Then, out of nowhere, my shifter wouldn't let me out of park.....Uugh!!! I played with the brake and steering wheel and eventually got it to work. Next came the rear traction light! It comes on sporadically and turns off after shutting the engine off. I'm hoping this is just the brake light switch......fingers crossed!!! I'll update sometime soon.

Well......I got the new brake light switch and installed it. The new switch was $15 and the install took about 2 minutes. So far, everything is working great, I can shift out of park and the rear traction light has not lit up! I'm relieved that I didn't have to take the beast to the dealership......God knows what they would have charged!
