This is reposted from the Canopy / Tonneau sun forum. I figure folks here might know.

I just had an ARE Z installed on my 2021 CrewCab, right before the rainy weekend. Water seems to be seeping between bed rail tops and the canopy (the main install seam), making puddles in the bed, especially at the corners. This is much more leaking than I remember with my 2001 Tundra (ARE) or 1998 Tacoma (Century) canopies.

Is this a known problem with a known solution on the Gen 2.5? I don’t want to make multiple return trips to the dealer who installed it. They likely don’t know Tundras as well as folks here. I am wondering if this is a late Gen 2.5 issue with the bed rail caps, which seem a bit flimsy?

I’m looking for a reliable solution, even if it means shelling out a little more money for a better gasket. I want to nip this in the bud before we get to the real rainy season in the fall.

Of the three canopies I’ve owned (various brands), the only one that didn’t leak had two rows of weather stripping on the bed rails before laying the canopy on top.
