I noticed my gas tank was a little lower than normal. I noticed my gas tank skid plate is kinda wobbly. I've got a 125k or 7 year warranty should I take it in for this?
I don't offroad for fun I only do it when I have to and it happens alot I've heard the bottom of the truck drag a bit on some high points. Is there a better skid plate I should consider like a bud built? 16 Trd limited 68k

Heck yea, take it in. Make sure they're not gonna charge you before you get saddled with a bill. It might be a power train warranty in which case you might be able to fix it cheaper yourself. Might be a good time to install an RCI gas tank skid?

The plastic skid plate is pretty wobbly because it's a plastic POS but I would think it would be very unlikely your actual tank is lower than before. And there's about an inch of space between the skid and the gas tank. It is pretty easy to hit the skid with our long wheelbases. Check out RCI Offroad or P&P Engineering. Heres my tank skid hitting.

The Fords come with an even crappier material where when it gets wet- it gets heavy (giggity) and will start to fall off and apart

Found that out on our way back from Lubbock last fall. Their "skids" like someone took carpeted floor mats and screwed them to the frame!
