So it has gotten cold here in Houston and this morning I drove my truck to work and the - center where it shows your average gas mileage went from 15.9 and then it kept going down and then coming backup. After work I am now driving my truck back home and it went up to 30 win back and went all the way down and now it's going up-and-down between 1213 and 14 has anyone ever had this problem before this is a second Gen. Tundra 2011

Is it set to show Instantaneous or your Average? I keep mine on Instantaneous and it bounces all over the place. My average has always been w/in a few tenths of hand calculated.

It's the average that's bouncing up and down like from 15 to 14 to 7 then to 20 then 30

Maybe disconnect the battery for 5-10min... See if that resets everything.

I could be wrong but I think it's based off of your fuel level sender in the tank. The gauge on the dash is slow to react but it's possible that the computer is seeing changes that are too quick for the gauge to pick up on. It could be a sign that the sender could be on it's way out.

    Working on it...
If you aren't noticing any drastic difference in fuel consumption I wouldn't worry too much. I make it a point to only ever have my outside temp gauge showing so I don't obsess over mileage and gas use.

(I drive 2.5 miles and hit 3 stoplights daily so my mileage sucks real bad though)
