Has anyone else notice their gas gauge suddenly go up and the range as well? We have filled up about 5 times and hit around 2200 miles this week. I had filled up Sunday to full and drove about 100 miles. When I parked at work this morning it showed half between full and 3/4 with about 400 miles remaining. After work I started it up and it had jumped to full and showed 460 miles. I had to drive to the other side of town about 30 miles each way and it’s stayed at the higher range now and the fuel gauge shows between 3/4 and full again. Is this because it is calibrating still or why did it jump all of a sudden? I’m worried it’s not reading correctly and I’ll actually be empty or something when it shows half tank still.

It supposed to be thing of the past but apparently it's still around. Use search function and you will find many posts about the fuel gauge issue.

I know there is the glitch where it goes up and back down depending if you’re on a slope or not. But this isn’t like that. It went up and stayed up until I actually drove that far. It’s almost like it’s recalibrating itself. The gas meter slowly went down as I drove the additional 60 miles. It previously would say I was empty when I really had 5-6 gallons of gas still.
