I know this is a crazy question...... I have a difficult time finding wheels that I like.
I want black wheels with some machined metal showing. But, I can't find that "perfect" combination...

Is it possible to grind the black down to the metal?

For example; Could I grind down the lip of these wheels to show more metal? Would the exposed metal rust?

I wouldn't recommend it personally. The machined parts are still coated in clear. I don't know if that's clear coat or clear powder, but it's not bare metal.
