Has anyone attempted to, or found a method to fully black out the rims that come on the SR5 OffRoad models? I'm not a fan of the unpainted steel near the outside of the rim but can't swallow the price of new rims lol

For starters, you'll have better luck calling it was it is which is a wheel, not a rim.

Powdercoat them. Many have done that with earlier gens. For the 2nd and 2.5 gen, companies also made stickers to place over the polished areas of the trim to black them out. I doubt those stickers are available for the 3rd gen, likely too new. But look around, someone may make some or will be making those soon. But powdercoat will be the longest lasting and best looking option.

    What’s wrong with stock?
I have seen people use plasti-dip. There is a local trend where people use wild colors on the wheels/rims (think hot pink or lime green). Personally, I like the contrast of the steel color. I think it adds detail that doesn’t get buried when blacked out.

I don't hate it by any means but prefer the blacked out look myself. Truck will be MGM so I want to eventually get rid of the chrome mustache and rear bumper panels too. I plan to plasti dip the rear bumper panels but the mustache might be a bit of of my skill level/comfort zone

I really don’t want to take the front and rear bumpers apart to remove the moustache/rear chrome parts and have them painted. What options exist to leave all parts in place and have color changed? I want Army Green for the moustache to match truck, perhaps the same for rear bumper or black there might work.

Maybe a vinyl wrap? The bumper panels look really easy to get out. The mustache, not so much
