The OEM batt on my 2016 is finally kicking the bucket. A slow, tortured death right now. It barely cranked over this morning & I was surprised it did - I've had to jump it with my Noco since yesterday morning. Noco works great!

Since I need to buy a new batt anyway, I figured I'd use it as the excuse to pick up the Genesis dual battery kit I've been eyeing for a little while now.

Genesis' site used to have Odyssey batteries on the Tundra dual batt kit page (https://www.genesisoffroad.com/tundra-dual-battery-kit).

Now they're showing Fullriver batteries. (Scroll down to "Battery Options" section of that page. Then at the very bottom of page is a link to the Fullriver FT750-25.) I've never heard of them...though truth-be-told, what I know about batteries consists of only what I've read on tundras.com...and even that isn't that much.

Does anyone have any thoughts/experience with Fullriver batteries, and how they compare with Odyssey? Thanks...

Never heard of full river. I got the odyssey with my kit. They are ok but die fast when it’s below freezing. Next time I’m going to try an optima red and yellow top.

Yeah. In the summer they hold 12.7 down to 12.3v/12.4v or higher for days. In the winter they'll drop to under 12v in 24 hours.

Fullriver is good stuff. Don't stress over it. If my stock battery didn't leave me needing a new one immediately, I would have bought a Fullriver battery. If/when my O'Reilly AGM dies, I'm going to get a Full Throttle battery.

Thanks Matt. Just want to make sure what I buy isn't going to end up being junk.

It's not. Fullriver is one of the higher quality batteries available. They are a TPPL battery. I'm unsure if it's a Northstar rebrand/private label, but regardless, it's good stuff.

i work for a battery manufacturer, you would recognize the name. Get the cheapest AGM battery with the best replacement warranty. Try EverStart, those usually are built by JCI (Clarios) or East Penn, both domestic manufacturers, often relabeled.
