2014 Tundra Limited 5.7 gas, has an issue with cranking but not starting. Done to date; checked fuses, relays (swopped with another), replaced fuel pump. Still having same problem. When I had the tank down I powered the old pump and it did not work, put new pump in powered it and pumped gas. I am thinking I now have a problem with the fuel pump driver module (fpdm) or a bad connection. The fpdm (pn 8957134070) has one large electrical connector 6 pin (only using 5 of the 6, #1,2,4,5 and 6) instead of the two connector type I have seen in all the videos I have watched. After replacement of the pump I have powered the one and two pins but did not hear the pump run.

Should I have heard the pump since I am directly under the tank while doing this (the skid plate is still off the tank)?

By powering the 1 and 2 pin is there anything else between this and the pump that could stop power from reaching the pump?

If I want to troubleshoot the fpdm I assume I watch the ground voltage while having someone try to start. Should start out at ~12v and go to near zero since this is a ground controlled circuit?

Am I on the correct track or should I be looking elsewhere?

Sorry for all the questions, thanks in advance!

yes you should hear pump kick on for a few seconds with key on, engine off power.

From what you describe the driver module is only thing left in the chain.

If you have reliable power to the driver then it should work.
