I have been experiencing an issue since around December 2021 in my 2016 Tundra where my stock head unit will randomly power off and restart. It is completely random when it does this, as well as how many times in a row it will power cycle. Has anyone else had this issue and been able to resolve it completely?

Here are the troubleshooting steps I have tried:
-pairing my iPhone but not syncing contacts
-unpairing my apple watch from my iPhone while it's paired to my head unit
    -unpairing my iPhone completely
-unpairing my work Android phone completely
-I made sure the entune system is completely updated
    -turned off the radio completely

In every single instance it has still powered off and back on. It doesn't matter what phone I have paired to the Bluetooth, or even if I have no phone paired or stored in the HU at all.

I have not tried contacting the manufacturer, because many people have said they will charge you money, and even if they have had the HU replaced with a new one it didn't resolve the issue.

I know the easiest fix is to just buy and install an aftermarket HU, but my money is pretty tight right now, so I am trying to resolve this cheaply.

    HELP PLEASE!!

Check the build link in my signature.
When you say “made sure the system is completely updated” - is that using physical firmware updates that would be found here
    https://prd-aem-sdp-tcom.origin.cepo-proxy.tms.aws.toyota.com/
or some other method like the entune phone app and/or over-the-air updates (not sure if those exist for the pre-2020 radio).

If you have used that site to check/ download/ install any available firmware updates, then not sure what to do next other than taking it to a dealer. I’m not sure if there are any TSB’s out there for your year/configuration or not.
