Day 2 with my new 2026 1794 Edition IForce 4x4 Tundra less than 200 miles and after a rain I have water pouring in from the drivers side pillar and from the center overhead electronics/ light switches etc. I cannot believe what I’m seeing, $80k for this truck and this!
Any help here, what is going on has anyone seen this. I seriously want to park this truck back in their lot and hand the keys back it’s sickening to think what this truck is going to smell like inside with all this water dumping in.

Hopefully it's a quick easy fix. Bring it back and keep the documentation.

    Welcome from South Central Tennessee!

I am disappointed that you are dealing with such detectable issues with a new Toyota, let alone a flagship vehicle.

Makes one question the QC processes at the end of assembly.

I hope your issues are easy to completely resolve.

The Tundra is not and never has been a flagship model. It is an afterthought vehicle. Its sales are dwarfed by multiple other Toyota models. They only make it to have something in the full size segment. If it were a flagship model it wouldn't be the LAST vehicle in Toyota's fleet to get TSS and updates.

Where did this "flagship" nonsense come from? It's utterly ridiculous.

Well, godzilla, if you think the largest truck Toyota makes, and an $80,000 one at that, isn't a flagship, then we will just disagree.

The Toyota Century is their official flagship vehicle.

The Tundra is usually the last to get updates and they drag out each generation. Thats not a flagship model. Flagships are the best, cutting edge that a company has to offer. They're used to generate buzz and interest. The Tundra being expensive doesn't change that.

It sucks the OP is having issues on an expensive vehicle, but let's not exaggerate the Tundra's position in Toyota.

The OP has a 1794 which, along with the Platinum, is NEAR top of range for the Tundra.
The Capstone would qualify for top billing in the Tundra range, but still doesn't meet the definition of a flagship vehicle for the brand. Not by a long shot.
One could argue it's just semantics, but, words have meaning.

For a sense of the difference between the two:
The current Toyota Century SUV (Toyota's flagship) is in the $180,000 price range, is limited to 30 units per month, and is largely hand-built to order.

I completely agree that the OP's situation sucks, and that it is something no one should have to deal with on a new vehicle, regardless of price.

Looking forward to hear what the outcome is.

I seen a couple Toyota 'Centurys' pop up on BaT recently; it gives me a chuckle every time I see the side view mirros halfway down the front 1/4 panel/hood...

PS>> OP... Sorry, Toyota is still struggling w/QC on the 3rd Gens. It's 100% bullshit that known issues from 2022 continue 4 model years later!!! I hope Toyota takes care of you and resolves your situation in a timely manner without the run-around!!!

PPS>> mqqn... Thank you for taking the time to not only 'police' this thread, but taking care of the entire internet (while patting yourself on the back and making sure that everyone is aware of your works)... The world is a better place because of you

Truck dropped off today at the dealership, fingers crossed they get it figured out…not a fan of this little Corolla rental, not in this Houston traffic. But it’s better than walking I suppose.

Response from dealership….they were unable to get the truck to show any signs of leaking while running water over the roof of the truck.

Were you able to document the water intrusion, video, pictures etc..? This might help troubleshoot. I had gen 2 sequoia that I bought for a “great deal” and it leaked like North Korean trawler, it was a bitch to track down the leaks as water has a mind of its own. One thing I discovered is just dumping water over the truck doesn’t replicate rain. Use a hose on mist/shower settings to soak the roof and windshield and see if you can replicate it. Were you driving or parked when it occurred? It sounds like the water is getting in from the sunroof or more likely the top of windshield (this was one of the culprits on the sequoia, improper seal). As long as your truck is getting dried out quickly it won’t stink, have to get air under the carpet and in the overhead etc…

sorry about your issues and off topic but that is BS they gave you a Corolla as a loaner

The truck was parked in my driveway backed in, front was downhill on a slight incline. When we got in it was dry, it didn’t start to drip until after I pulled out of the driveway and headed down the road. I immediately stopped and started to video it and take pictures. Assuming I would be in this exact position and might need them in the future.
All I can do now is pick the truck back up tomorrow and attempt to replicate it myself when I get home to confirm if it is a reoccurring problem.
    Frustrating.

The proverbial “cannot replicate the issue”……that always pisses me off. Have your camera ready to record a video anytime it rains. Once you have it on video, can catalog where it’s pooling and show wet areas you should take it back to the service manager, drop off the truck and tell them you don’t want it back until fixed and that you’ll need a loaner. I had a brake issue that they said was the backing plate rubbing after replacing rotors and pads. Took it back three times and they “couldn’t replicate”. Took video of every time I turned and the metal on metal sound….. Amazingly, the “master tach” came out and found that he had to shave the lip of the rotor as it was contacting the backing plate. They couldn’t bend it far enough to eliminate contact. The dealership treated me great and gave me a rental each time, but it was a pain in the ass to deal with. Thankfully mine was just a noise - I hope you get taken care of and they can find the source of the leak and fix it. They should also get an inside detail for you treating the moisture that got in. Good luck.

The other pain is the dealership location is an hour from where I live….not convenient.
Oh well, not much I can do.

That’s what I was wondering—was it parked on an incline when the leak occurred. That could be the reason they can’t replicate the issue, yet. The rain is accumulating inside when on an incline, then when level, it leaks out.
