I have 3rd failure of left front wheel bearing in my 2017 Tundra with 26k miles on it. Dealer will replace wheel bearing but what causes failure??? I afraid about transaxle, soon I will be out of warranty...
    All help highly appreciated...

Make sure they are replacing all THREE seals when doing the bearing.
A lot of places just press a new bearing in and call it a day.
If the o-ring and both lip seals are not replaced, it will fail shortly thereafter again from water intrusion.

I just found out my 19 with 38k miles need both front wheel bearings replaced. None of my other tundras have had this issue, hopefully it’s not a recurring issue.

Do you have different wheels or suspension compared to your other Tundras?

Sorry to hear! Sound like a QC issue during manufacturing it so many newer ones are having this issue.

What are the symptoms of this? How did you know you needed it?

Everything on the truck is stock, still on factory tires. I was on my way back from a job and started feeling a small vibration. The vibration starts between 40-50 mph and doesn’t go away until you come to a stop. I thought it was just something stuck in a tire or caught on the bottom of the truck, but could find anything after looking everything over. Took it in to a my local service center and they said the front wheel bearings are both going, and that the left is making more noise than the right.

Got my truck back on Wednesday figured I’d update you guys. Ended up being the rear axle bearings. Covered up warranty but if it eats another set I’ll be looking at new trucks. I always have 500 lbs in the bed of my truck so I expect a little extra wear and tear (decreases brake and tire life, blown out shocks) but my last tundra that was treated the same and only had a rear axle seal fail at 175,000 miles. And I can’t afford for my truck to be down a week at a time, it’s had enough to have it gone for a day for oil changes.
