Bought some hub centric wheels for the tundra from Venomrex and tried to get them installed.

The rears fit perfectly but the fronts rest on the grease cap and don’t sit flush. Clearly not enough room for the wheels to clear hub. I purchased the tundra used, it’s a 2018.

Anyone run into an issue like this? The installer suggested popping the grease caps off.

I would double check the wheels will actually work on a tundra. I would not be removing any parts to try and make wheels fit.

The model I purchased are only made for the Tundra and Gladiator. The Gladiators hub size is much smaller than ours.

I called their customer support and they said that they heard from tundra owners that had to remove their dust caps but others have not. Not sure if any changes in the design of the dust cap have been made over the years or they were clueless on the phone.

Up to you on how to proceed, but if a wheel requires removal of the dust caps to fit on a Tundra....then it really does not fit a Tundra does it? :monocle:

Without the caps, dirt and such can get in the hubs and bearings, cause early wear and headache for you down the road. They are there for a reason.

I sure as hell would not be removing anything from the hub to make a universal wheel fit.
