Front end rattle found!

Well, one rattle found anyway. While washing the truck I found the upper trim creaking.
The plastic tab behind the 10mm bolt was broken off. Some foam tape behind the 10mm bolt with metal plate fixed it. Hope it helps!

Great job finding that one.

It's funny how Tundra owners rejoice when a simple rattle is tracked down. I guess that's what happens when you're not constantly at the dealership with transmission problems, sensor failures, software updates and recalls.

 

This exact this just happened to me, except that the tabs on each end broke and it was causing the hood bulge to pop up. Right now I just have the middle screw holding it in place but plan on fixing he tabs w/some JBWeld, I hope it works..

 

LOOK AT THIS! Clearly built in obsolescence! Toyota dropping the ball...again! Toyota is slowly becoming Ford!
