    Hello all,
I just purchased a green 2003 access cab 4wd V8. I'll get some pics of it up soon.
There's a fair few things I'm getting working again and one of them is the 4wd. ( hi range flashing and low not even coming on.) It seems the front diff actuator has no vacuum going to it, I can see these two lines below coming up from under the sump, I'm assuming I'm missing a vacuum relay here? The last owner seems have inserted a brand new actuator on it as well.
Thanks in advance for your help guys, couldn't find anything on OE diagrams related to it.
Edit I know the actuators are electric so maybe the smaller of the tubes is a vent perhaps?

Those appear to be differential and transfer case breathers. I may be wrong though.

Well that makes sense. I don't know why they blocked them off for.
Ill unblock them and pull the actuator case off to view those contacts, thanks mate, threw me when I saw them

They don't appear blocked. They have (rusty) vent caps on them it appears.

You may want to replace with new. I think they’re on Amazon for a couple bucks apiece. Dorman brand I believe

They should pull out(gently) from the hoses and you can try blowing through them to see if they still work but based on the pictures I would just order new ones.

And if you haven't already, do youself a favor and do the same thing for the breather on your rear diff. If it gets rusted shut it can blow your axle seals out which is a real headache.

How does the frame look on that truck? Seems like you live in the rust belt.

I looked at a lot that were rust buckets, this has a brand new fame and a few tiny brackets that are rusted here and there its in great shape, mo rust on bed or sills. I was very lucky @ 192Ks.
Its had a slight side swipe which I am replacing the flares but it really is a clean truck.

Actuator is probably stuck, common problem. I had a 05 4Runner that I had set a "use it or lose it" reminder to actuate the 4wd once a month.
