Just an informative post. I've owned this 2018 Tundra for a couple years now. Love the truck! Had an issue come up today driving home from the gym. A severe grinding noise developed coming from the left front wheel. I had a couple miles to go to get home so I nursed it there and got it into my shop. Pic reveals the issue. I do all my own work to a point. Always clean and torque fasteners correctly. I had not touched the brakes on this vehicle as it had new brakes installed right before purchase. Just a testament to doing a job correctly. This could have been much worse. I had planned to pull a trailer this past weekend to a tractor show. Kinda glad now that it got rained out. New bolt on the way. IMG-8218.jpg

Reason #1 why we always put red loctite in caliper bolts at the shop

I've never used red Loctite on caliper bolts but I do use the blue only after a cleaning.

I think either are fine as long as you tighten them enough, but we’ve seen cars come in that didn’t have loctite and the bolts backed out or a bolt was missing… we’ve never had a come back with using loctite (knock on wood lol)
