I’ve never messed with bumpers or much of any physical work on a vehicle. I got into a wreck during Hurricane Helene in my area and it tore my front bumper off. Do I need a complete kit? Is there another option? I found a 11 piece kit for around $800.

Wow - a normal bumper kit isn’t going to help you as one mount is mangled and the other appears to be gone.

I’m guessing you’ll need something custom fabricated and welded to the front of the frame if you want a bumper.

I think @STravis made a really nice thick plated bumper mount. Would need to be welded on. Maybe he can chime in and give you some details!

What I found, which appears will work and has everything I need is: https://www.carparts.com/bumper/replacement/kit-080124-99

It has the brackets and all. Not sure what all I need, or if there is a better option? My brother-in-law is a welder, so if that's an option then I'm open for that.

We were looking into making a kit that beefs up that mounting point, but no progress yet.

The link you posted looks like it includes the crash bar mount. The peice I think you are looking at actually mounts in between the part of your frame that is damaged and the aluminum crash bar. If you need all of those parts anyways you can always use that peice to cutout a template for the frame side and weld on a new mount.
