    Howdy folks,
    new guy here. After dealing with 11 different dealerships across three states who were not interested in selling a new truck over the past 5 months (eyeroll) i got the call from a dealer to come grab my new truck last friday.

    I grabbed an Army Green 2021 DCLB TRD Offroad with the SR5 work truck package and other rando packages so i could get the larger OEM fuel tank. I traded in a 2017 ACLB TRD offroad Tacoma and ive gotta say, its nice to be back in a rig that does not ramp up to 5500rpm on 1 degree inclines at 70mph. My initial impressions are overwhelmingly positive to date.

    Ill be adding a bunch of planned aftermarket upgrades over the next year and am currently in research mode for new method 701's and tires (im a BFG KO2 guy).

    Anyway, thanks much for having me, and ill be datamining all the info i can in the meantime.

    Thanks. Im a big earth tone kind of guy and wanted the quicksand color but they dropped it for the 2021 model year so green it was lol.

    I like the quick sand too but I think the green is much better. And it seems to be more unique these days...

    Similiar on my end.

    There were exactly 0 trucks in stock at any dealer with the features i wanted so i tried the build truck and send to dealer for quote on Toyotas corporate website. It took 11 different dealers before i found one that either knew you could spec a truck on Toyotas website or didnt try to sell me another truck because they "Dont have that truck in stock". I was like yes im aware of that, i want you to order this EXACT truck from the factory and i will wait for it....crickets.

    I finally found a dealer (Great Falls Montana) that was willing to get off their respective hind ends and actually order one from the factory. Wait time was quoted as several months after it took them over a month to even put the order in.

    I got lucky about two months in the build que and a dealer in Rhode Island had placed an order for the same truck ahead of me so i tossed down a deposit and stole it from them.

    All in all it was extremely frustrating and im glad its over lol.
