Does anyone know of any dealerships in North or South Carolina that are still doing frame replacement/warranty

go to toyota and input your vin, see if they are active recalls. If not, you are probably out of luck. I thought that the frame warranty on 1st gens expired long ago. And any trucks that did have any work done, frame cleanup or where toyota sprayed them with undercoat....well that counted as the warranty work so those trucks would not quality for another warranty.

It really has little to do with the dealership and more to do with making sure your truck qualifies. Toyota corporate has to approve the replacement and then they pay the dealership to do the work.

At least one or two members have found going to diff't dealerships resulted in different results, but I don't remember whether it was an issue of trying to get an inspection or not.

Needless to say, OP has an '04. Toyota never chose to include '04-'06 in the frame recall, did they?

I had to drive my truck 2.5 hours to a dealership that I KNEW did frame swaps, as my local dealerships were an unknown.

    Three main reasons for this:
    1. I knew they were experienced at changing frames.
    2. I knew they were WANTING/WILLING to do the job as they had before. My local dealerships are just lube tech/oil change places. Fuck them.
    3. I knew that the dealership would change other things like body mounts, engine mounts, transmission mounts at my cost with reduced labor because they were already taking the whole truck apart.
I would drive around to different dealerships, and look in the back lot to see if there's frames stacked out back... that'd be a good indicator to see if they actually do the work. Won't hurt to call around either.

    Good luck OP

I my truck used in Smithfield VA when it was 5 years old. Never though about rust because I live on the Chesapeake and didn’t get snow. I moved to SC a year later but about 5 yrs ago I got a warranty notice and took it in to Scott Will Toyota. They said they removed the bed and didn’t find any significant rust. They had it overnight.

As much as I agree with @Tundra2 if you have a 2000-2003 you'd be set following those instructions but with an 04 you're SOL as others have stated.
You're options are to find replacement metal for the rusted sections or find a whole replacement frame from a junkyard as Toyota will not sell you one.
