The frame on my 2002 Tundra has rusted through where the rear leaf spring attaches in front of the rear wheels (both sides). I’m thinking of getting a piece of quarter inch steel three inches wide and thirty six inches long and bolting or welding it to the bottom of the frame. I would have to cut out the rivets on my spring mount, then re-bolt the mount to the repair. I could use some suggestions as I’m sure I’m not the first one to have this problem.

You have your frame inspected by Toyota at any point? Truck not covered under frame replacement recall?

I'd check to see if Toyota will replace it under their program first.
