Has anyone ever had this happen? I have owned Tundras (on 3rd on) since 2008. Never had this happen. Not sure how it got in? Maybe through firewall?
NJ is finally geting cold last few weeks, I guess this is possible.
Truck is imaculate, no trash inside ever etc...
    Very strange.
    Appreciate any thoughts.

Search “rodent”. Lots of info on how they get in and how to rodent proof.

Before you pull the cabin filter, cut a piece of cardboard and slide it under the filter, then pull the filter leaving the cardboard to catch anything that might fall into your blower assembly.

I hate those little toothy bastards. They can find a way into anything it seems.

Yup they like the taste of Japanese soy based plastic insulation. Also check under your intake manifold for chewed up wiring. Several threads how to apply screening to cowl openings. Destructive little bastards.

Ironically I’m now trying to trap, in a rat trap, a squirrel I found running out from my truck today. By the time I grabbed the pellet gun it was gone.

Pine sol soaked rags and bars of pink dove soap ride in my truck engine compartment 24/7. The soap does melt just a little in places, and I reapply pine sol about every 15-20 days. Haven't had any problems to date. That said, the openings below the windshield/wiper cowling are screened as well. Can't hurt and it doesn't perfume the cab.

Funny enough, went out this morning with my brave”sort of” dog. Squirrel was up in the bottom of my rav4. It ran, dog chased, squirrel went up a tree, dog into neighbors yard. Pellet gun was at back of garage, squirrel gone. Brave hunter dog was still in neighbors yard looking for squirrel.
Going back out in a few with bore scope to look for damage.
