New to toyota wanted an 8 cylinder that uses all 8 cylinders all the time. 2016 sr5 crewmax had the truck about 3 weeks now, so far quietest best riding truck I've ever had. Any thing I should be aware of on this model(2wd,5.7)

Welcome from AZ. Nothing really to watch for other than to keep up with basic maintenance. Search the site, plenty of knowledge and ways to spend way too much money on mods.

Thanks everyone. Do have a question about oil viscosity 0-20 seems kinda thin to me anyone run higher viscosity? Coming from gm all these years and running 5-30. Maybe I just need to change my mindset.

    Chandler, AZ, not anymore :(
Yeah, you shouldn't need another truck for the rest of your life. Unless you want to step it up to 4x4 of course.

If you’re still in NE Ohio, 0-30 might be better for wintertime, but 5-30 is great the rest of the year. welcome from NNY

    Welcome from South Central Tennessee.

From what I have seen, just valve cover / cam tower oil leaks and keep up on maintenance.

I have seen reports here of using higher than recommended viscosity oil, but for now that gives me the heebie jeebies.

On youtube, thecarcarenut , while long winded, is an excellent source of sound and experience-backed information.
