For those people which are spatially challenged...Don't be a dumbass and run your holster down the side of your truck....at first I was very upset, but then I couldn't stop laughing for like 5 minutes. Learn from my mistake.

Now, every time you see a cop car, look at the same spot on their cars. The front portion of the driver side back door is always carved up. Our holsters stick way out there.

And I'm sorry if I was trite. But how do you rub your truck with a concealed weapon?

its ok...mom put a dent in it 2 weeks after I had it, from shopping cart at lowes...couldn't be mad at her as I totaled her brand new car a few weeks after she got it....tis life. As long as we learn from our mistakes all is good. Just trying to make other people aware of what can happen in an instant of carelessness.

Moms...Mine backed her 05 4R into my 05 Tundra in 06. She was leaving and rushed back to say something. I had bought and insured both. I was not stoked, lol. Worse than that, parked at work a construction buddy let a 3/4" sheet of plywood go. Corner hit my door just below the window. Dent is still there. Fak.

Little compound buffing, polish and that will come right out. My DeWalt buffer has paid for itself will the amount of scratches I have fixed.

Still better than leaving it on the back of a toilet in a public restroom. I have not done that but had a friend who did. Luckily he went back and it was still there. You can never forget where your gun is at and if you are absent minded you probably shouldn't be carrying.

If it makes you feel any better, kids will do that all day every day. Not with a holster of course, but backpacks, water bottles, belts, pets they happen to be carrying after you told them not to…

I rock IWB only at 3:30-4 for years now. I find it to be the only way to go in Summer. I guess maybe I could manage to do that to a vehicle with the butt of the pistol if I lift my shirt and pop my hip out or butt back and rub it down the truck but not under normal circumstances.

Good reminder, another is if you carry a pocket knife that clips to your pocket. So easy to catch the side of the truck!

OOOfff. Sorry man, that sux. Looks like a metal vedder clip did the damage.

I carry AIWB at 1 o clock so I avoid this. But, the pocket knife has done the same on mine and added light scratches. This reminds me to be careful.

I did something similar with my Benchmade knife, I’ll take a pic. The pocket clip. Had to squeeze between the lift and truck getting in at the shop. Now I always take knife out of pocket. Lol.

Cell phone belt clips were the main thing that would get me. Had to give them up As convenient as they were to keep phones out of my pockets, especially carrying both a personal and a work one Most of the time. It was nice to be able to put at least one on my belt but had to give them up.

If I wasn't snagging it getting out of the car I was snagging it getting in. No matter how hard I tried to remember to be careful it kept happening.

Same. I switched to AIWB and never have issues now. However, I have two knifes that have scratched the paint pretty bad on our Sequoia. The worst scratch was from Microtech pocket clip, it went down to the bare paint and looks like the OP's photo.
