For anyone with clunking trd pro fox suspension

    Ok here is my experience with my clunking situation may or may not relate to everyone but it may help someone.
    The clunking started at around 60000-70000k so after checking everything I torqued all suspension bolts and nuts everything was good, still clunking after listening to the clunking I decided to replaced the stock mounts. When I took the suspension apart the shock shaft wallowed out a hole in the mount and the shaft was banging against the mount and I was super happy that I figured it out, so me thinking i’m just going to buy the KYB mounts for the fox suspension it lasted 6 months and the clunking started again was super annoyed and said F it i’m going to by factory toyota parts. I took the suspension apart again to install the factory parts and the same thing happened again wallowed out the hole for the top nut. I hope this will be the last time I have to do this now that the suspension has factory parts and hopefully it will last at least another 60-70k here are some pictures of what I just did today hopefully it will help others:thumbsup:

    I forgot to mention it was the same on both sides and both were replaced with factory toyota parts

    Those shocks are due for a complete rebuild every 50k miles or so. And that’s if you only drive on pavement…

    I hear you, I am eventually going to get new suspension because I feel not really worth it to ship out and rebuild and there is no one local I know that can rebuild them so I figure I would run them into the ground and either get new fox oem suspension or aftermarket.
    My truck is still under warranty but i guess mounts aren’t covered as it is a wearable part and also dealer also says if it’s not leaking apparently they should be good to go but who knows. I don’t know why toyota doesn’t mention rebuild intervals :(
