So I inserted my VLEDS adapter into the footwell socket and I blew a fuse.

Anybody know why that would happen? How do I insert it without blowing another one?
    Thanks

By adapter do you mean bulb?

Are the adaptor wires touching each other?

This plugs into the socket and then you run LEDs off of this.

Was the adapter plugged in by itself or were the lights plugged into the adapter also?

If the adapter was by itself then it's bad. I'm just speculating because I'm not there and can't see everything.

You need to move those metal tabs to the side, they aren’t making contact with the + and - within the factory socket.

Those two metal pieces on each side are not contacting correctly, had to very gently move them so they make metal to metal contact

Maybe your truck has a different footwell light setup than mine, but I just replaced mine a couple weeks ago with LED. Didn’t need any adapter, just removed old bulb and replaced with this one. When I first inserted it, I had nothing, after a few minutes I realized that those 2 metal connectors at the base of my bulb was not making contact with the metal within the factory wiring housing, very gently rotated the metal pins to their correct position and voila! Hope this helps...
