    Hey y'all...

Installing some CaliRaised fog lights on my truck.

At first, the left one worked, although I am not certain if I had the plug & play harness installed correctly. (Poor design, allowing for two crappy connections.) With that said, it WAS working for a minute. Then I put the passenger's side fog light in, and now they just short, short, short and fuses pop, pop and pop.

I've read up on how to swap the polarity on the Deutsch connector, but I am not certain which of the wires on the truck is the positive vs. negative. Purple? White? Blue?

Is there a reason for this madness? Can somebody please post a wiring diagram?

    Thanks,

    Alex

Black/white should be ground. White with black tracer.

Purple and blue are definitely positive, receiving power from fog light relay.

@Ericsopa Thank you very much. Lights are working.

I flipped polarity on the Deutsch plug and it works like a charm.

    Actually I'm still having trouble.

The fog lights both came on, and everything was groovy. No interruption whatsoever.

Then I adjusted one of them. Shorted the fuse.

So I adjusted them back, fixed the fuse, and then took the car around the cul-de-sac to put it in the driveway.

As soon as I moved forward, the lights shorted out again.

Any ideas? Seems like I can get one of them to work at a time, but not both anymore.

If I assume correctly, you didn't have this problem with your fogs prior to the changeover to the CaliRaised pair. So it seems logical that the problem is within the plug-n-play harness itself or the new lights. Something is shorting somewhere, and seems to be doing so with movement. I would start with the light that you attempted to adjust, since it blew the fuse when disturbed.

Edit ..... just reread your post, noticing the last line..... are you saying you can get one or the other to work, but not both, EVEN WHEN you jiggle the wires or drive the truck? If so, are you sure your fuse is rated properly? Doesn't seem that your LEDs would pull more amps that the OEMs, but I'm not familiar with CaliRaised. Still, I can't imagine that they'd pull anywhere near the 15 amps that the foglight fuse is rated.

@Caliraisedled do you have a direct contact email or phone I can use?

I reached out to your online support system but haven't heard back from anybody.

    Thank you.
