Hey all, the fog lights on my 2016 Tundra quit working. Still being the bulbs from the factory, I wasn’t all that surprised they went out, but a little suspicious both bulbs burned out simultaneously. I checked the fuse box, tested a new fuse, still don’t work. Took the fog lamps out and tested new bulbs, still don’t work. At this point, I’m not sure which direction to go - do yall have any pointers for me? Thanks!

Well buying new ones might be the solution. However, I have new LED bulbs that I tested, but they still don’t come on.

Are low beam headlights on when you turn the fogs on? I only ask because I have seen people in the past not realize that the headlights have to be on for the fogs to work depending on the year and trim level. There is a fog relay in the engine bay fuse box.

Yeah, with the 2.5 gens, you can’t turn on the headlights without the fog lights coming on, or vice versa. But in my case, the fog lights won’t come on with the headlights on.

I checked the fog fuse under the hood, and the current one was still in good shape, no blown. However, I still tested it with one of the spare fuses Toyota provides within the fuse box, and they still didn’t turn on.

Check the relay, not the fuse if the fuse has already checked out.

The 2016 Toyota Tundra fog light relay is located in the fuse block on the right side of the engine bay, behind the battery. To access it, you will need to open the vehicle's hood and remove the cover panel of this fuse block.
Steps to find and check the fog light relay:
    1. Open the hood: of your 2016 Toyota Tundra.
    2. Locate the fuse block: on the right side of the engine bay, behind the battery.
    3. Remove the cover panel: of the fuse block to gain access to the relays.
    4. Identify the "FOG" relay: within the fuse block. You may need to use the diagram on the fuse block lid for reference.
    5. Remove the relay: carefully, possibly using a pair of pliers.
    6. Test the relay: or replace it with a new one to see if your fog lights begin to work again.

Ah I see what you’re saying. Where would that be located at?

    This is inaccurate....

You can have headlights on w/o fogs.

As others have said, check your relay under the hood, and just confirming you have the fog light switch turned on (inner part of the turn signal stalk)...

Fogs have a fuse AND a relay; two different things... both under the hood.

This video shows where you can find the relay and also gives you deets on the anytime fog light mod. I have a 2016 and, yes the mod works.

Awesome y’all, thanks for the pointers. I’ll check that out today. I was unaware the relays and fuses were two separate things.
