New to me 11 Tundra SR5. Front has fog lights from the factory. (Well versed with trucks history). No switch on the steering wheel. Lights are wired and can follow the wires up to the engine bay. I just have no way to turn them on.

Since this is a new to me truck I am thinking installed but not part of the option. Anyway to get them to start to work? On the window sticker (yep still has it) it does say front fog lights on it.

I did do a search on here but found nothing on this particular issue.

Looking for advice on what can be done.

    Cheers

I would be tempted to get a relay, additional wire, and a switch for the dash and wire them up without going through the steering wheel stalk. A lot of people do modifications to their fog light wiring so that they can have them on anytime and not just with the low beams using the stalk switch. Just my $.02's..

That's what I am thinking. I have blank panels on the dash that could use. Not sure how difficult this would be but seem I may go down that route.

One assumes that you have checked that they aren't already wired up to come on with your headlamps?

No. I have turn on the lights and nothing. There is a switch left of the steering wheel, pushed that and nothing. One could assume that they are both burned out now that I think of it. I may just buy a set and see if that does the trick before anything else.

I might be testing the resistance with a multimeter first - at least you'll know that the bulbs are dead before you stump up for new lights.

Have you checked the fog light fuse? Or swapped the fog light relay with another identical relay?

The low beam headlights have to be on, and ignition on for the fog lights to work, in case you weren’t aware of that.

You keep saying switches and buttons, but the fog light 'switch' is a turn type like the headlights, it's actually right next to the headlight switch on the turn signal multi switch..

The fog light switch can be on the turn stalk, or a push-button on the dash.

I have not changed any of the fuses or relays yet. My initial thought was they are decoration but traced the wires so it would seem they are functional.

I do not have that on the stalk that controls the headlights. However I do have bulbs and wires that connect to the headlights and parking lights.

FWIW the trucks are wired for fogs no mater the model. OEM or aftermarket buckets and lights can be dropped into chrome or plastic bumper.

In the engine bay fuse box, look at the lid and find the relay. Pull the relay, an OEM relay will have gold and silver contacts, the gold/copper ones power the lights. That same side, should have +12v with everything off. If you Jumper that same side, lights should come on if bulbs are good.

Ping me, I can offer guidance as I've installed LED fog lights. As I know it, OEM install includes a turn dial on the stalk. Potentially port installed may have push button.

    Take a look here... https://www.tundras.com/threads/electrical-mods-fog-install-and-led-flasher.122423/

So thanks for the info. Pulled the cover and there is no relay in the spot that it should go. There is a 15 in the spot for fogs. Pulled the bulbs and they look brand new, seems they have never been touched or messed with. I can see the wires as you described. Seems that I would need to get a new stalk with the fog light part on it, and other items to get them to work. Seems weird as it is listed on the window sticker. Will keep looking and will figure it out.

    Cheers

That's interesting it's on the sticker...
Had you not said that, I would be thinking the bumper was replaced and it came with fog lights that were plugged in.

For testing on mine I jumped the pins as mentioned earlier and walla - there I'd light.

Here are some part numbers... You basically need to pull the air bag and wheel and install the switch and relay. The PN's are below. Let me know if you want the switch I modified up there.
