Flying blows

Just thought I'd throw this out there cause I'm flying to my data center yet again. Fuck that

Monday eve for me, and yes flying blows. I recall the late 70's and 80's and how much better we were treated as passengers. Back when stewardess' were called stewardess'

 

Yeah, flying is the worst. Even though it's uncomfortable, I prefer flying on military cargo planes any day. At least on those flights I don't have to deal with the public.

 

Any flying booked is too soon

My son is friends with a guy who works for TSA. One of his assignments was to take a suitcase full of C-4 and a couple guns through security to "test" some of the other TSA agents. Well needless to say, he got all of it through the scanner without even being flagged. The working TSA agent lost her certification for being able to scan luggage. Doesn't make you feel too safe does it?

 

Any tips for a guy who has not flown since about 1999? Going to Hawaii. I need to buy luggage and read tsa website.

that should cover the important stuff LOL

you can't bring liquid over a certain ounce amount unless you buy it AFTER screening. There are a few other ones but nothing that isn't common sense.

 

Also if you are told you are being bumped take the loot and split

man, the amount of stupid (or laziness) in some security is ridonkulous!

 

Flying and traveling like I do, reminds me of the movie Up in the air with George Clooney.

 

You'd think right? It wasn't a little bit of C-4 either. It was something like 15-20 lbs!!! Plus a gun or two?? WTH? Makes me think whenever I fly.

 

I believe it's 3 oz. Not much....

Wear socks. They're going to make you take your shoes off and you do not want your feet to make contact with that carpet.

 

Just makes me nervous. I'm kind of a worry wart. Told my doctor if the plane goes down I will have a heart attack b4 it crashes and he prescribed Xanax! Went home and looked it up and don't think I will take it. Maybe I just take a sleeping pill. I used to fly a lot for work.

 

You won't need Xanax, you'll need fungal cream.... if you don't wear socks! Cannot stress enough the importantance of socks.

 

Don't worry I don't wear thongs. Lol
