Tundras live: Agree to disagree (a lesson in civility)

Years ago a coworker and I walked into the bathroom at the same time. The clown was sick and sneezing…I distinctly remember saying to myself “Great, now I’m going to get sick”. He finish his business and walked out without washing his hands. I walked out a few minutes later and saw him talking up a secretary and burying his hands in the bowl of M&M’s she kept at her desk.

And that is when I came a mild germaphobe.

 

Fuk that! People are nasty

 

People are gross.

 

Because dogs are honest about it. They don't know better and hide it from us. They just are. The people know what they are doing.

 

I know several ironworkers that resemble that remark

 

The bowl of mints/toothpicks/whatever at restaurants…
Don’t go near them

 

Just shut down for the weekend. Whew. That was a gasser of a week, especially for only being four days.

Time for a happy hour drink followed by a hardware store run for mulch and yard crap. Then got some thick steaks for dinner. After the steaks come off the smoker, four pork butts are going in.

It’s going to be a weekend of weeding and smoking and none of it will be

 

Sounds like a damn good weekend!

Going back to work tonight, it'll be nice to get a little break! Lol

LD is northern Wisconsin, so no where near the Pacific

but the real culprit (damn staff member who actually made that post in someone else's name trying to be sly) is a landlocked Coloradoite

... but all good, as we'd claim both of them anyhow

I like dogs, but they stay below shoulder level.

 

My dog was like a kid to me. I shared my spoon with here when she was a pup. She loved vanilla ice cream, and would take food from a utensil like a lady. Zero regrets that I built those memories.

 

My mother in law is like that with her dogs. I find the different types of relationships people have with their pets to be fascinating. I grew up in a family where dogs were part of the family but still animals. I wouldn't swap saliva with a cat, horse or sheep. I'm not letting a dog lick my face or share a spoon with one (though I'd share my ice cream, but pupper gets his own spoon).
