Hit the gym with the wife, worked (shit show this morning so I jumped into help via phone) replaced the wheel on one of the RC cars, pulled up some grass growing where I don’t want it, played Siege, and waiting for the chicken teriyaki to be done to eat.

Had to go buy Mom a new chair. Hope this one is better for her back. After the chair swap I went for a ride on the motorcycle.

Was a good day until about 15 minutes ago. Stella had the worst seizure to date. Had to pick her up and hold her so she didn't flail into anything and get hurt. Breaks my heart, but she came out of it in better spirits than usual. Normally she's scared and confused so she starts screaming. This time she was stumbling around and confused, but super happy. Weirdest thing ever. She was running around excited and happy looking for somebody the way she does when we have company.

She is 13. Pugs are generally a 12-15 year lifespan.

Special story with this beautiful fella. Third time in 3 different days was the charm with him. All three times I was able to sight fish. He was extremely picky and all three times required a minimum of 15 minutes of finessing and changing baits to get him to bite. All three times that he bit were on a different soft plastic and twice I had him on the hook and he got off, but today I was able to get him on the hook and land him. Super fun experience to pit myself against a fish and really try different techniques of presentation and finesse.

Same exact spot, roughly same time of day, same size fish, AND sore/tissue damage where the hook ripped out of it's lip last time when I was seconds away from grabbing it's lip :p

Glad to see you enjoying the fish, and supporting him so you don't dislocated his jaw. Makes me mad when I see people just lifing by the jaw for horizontal pics because they inadvertently make the fish starve to death.

Very much loving the bike. I needed the throttle therapy after furniture shopping for Mom's Throne.

Oh yeah, I'm all about treating fish as well as possible given the circumstances. I want them all to grow big and stay healthy.

Stella had another severe seizure at about 4 AM. Less than 12 hours between the two, and this one was worse. I'm contacting the vet in a half hour, but I'm not hopeful. I can't leave her home with my Mom for my upcoming week at work if she's having seizures and I won't let her suffer. It's been a couple hours and she's still not back to normal. Breaks my heart, but I have to go through the loss no matter when, but she doesn't have to suffer. If there's not really optimistic news at the vet, this may be the end of a beautiful friendship.

Yeah. Anyone that loves a dog goes through this. Just kinda putting it up here, because if things go poorly I might not be on for a bit.

Understandable but we are always here for ya. I too know this feeling all to well. We had an Aussie that we believe had epilepsy and was one of the hardest things to watch and deal with towards the end.

She is being examined now, but I may have to take her to Utah if she needs MRIs.

She stays home with my mom, but my mom can't do more than feed, water, and let her outside. If Stell had a seizure like the last two Mom would be able to pick her up, keep her from hurting herself, etc. Plus, Mom's tender and it wouldn't be fair to either of them.

Agreed. Gill fucking pisses me off too. Anytime I see people shoving their hands into the gill plates, I get on their case. As primarily a catch and release fisherman, I'm a strong advocate of proper fish handling.

I really like the Keep Fish Wet advocacy group. They have a great web page that gives and outline of the science behind fish handling.
