    Hello everyone!

Ram owner here looking to join the tundra community! I have browsed this forum for a long time learning everything I can about Tundras before making a purchase.
I'm interested in 2018 or earlier due to that being the last year of the transmission cooler. The main thing I am concerned about is the flex fuel tundra. I prefer to avoid the issue with the alcohol % creeping up on the flex fuels, but I have found that a non flex fuel is hard to find. I have seen many flex fuel tundra available. After reading this forum, I have noticed that many people have fixed their issues with the flex fuel tundra with the bidirectional scan tool (launch x431, I think). Have any of you guys that have done this fix had any issues after, or does this truly solve the issue for good. If the only thing I have to do with the flex fuel tundra is reset the alcohol percentages every now and then, I'm good.

Anyone that has done this fix for your flex fuel tundra please chime in and tell me about your experience. Would you guys recommend getting a flex fuel and just resetting the alcohol % with the scan tool? Or would you suggest avoiding the flex fuel tundra altogether?

Please let me know your opinions. I'm eager to join the tundra community, but don't want to make a bad decision.

Sorry for the long post and thanks in advance for any advice!

6yr old truck with 72k miles and no issue with the flex fuel. I wouldn’t let it discourage you from buying one.
