Flat tailgate cap for 3rd gen?

Anyone know if there are any flat tailgate caps available for the 3rd Gen Tundra? I'd like to replace the plastic OEM one with a flat one (similar to the previous gens) since the raised lip (spoiler?) on it interferes with the barn doors on our camper shell.

I was tempted to try cutting off the raised portion but my local Toyota dealer quotes almost $400 for the part if I mess it up...
