    Hello everyone,
New to the forum and glad to finally own a tundra. I recently purchased a 2008 regular cab short bed tundra. I feel like I got a decent deal on it because the interior and body are in great condition, the only downside is the frame has rust. After intensive inspection, the rust appears to be mainly surface rust with some flaking in the more severe areas. This week I am planning on getting started with working on the frame. After removing bumpers, bed and other easily removable parts I will sanding, grinding and wire brushing the entire frame and some parts of the body such as the body seams on both sides, some spots in the bed, and any rust in the bottom of the cab and then brushing in POR-15. I was looking to see if any of the members on this forum could give me any help or advice on what I need to do, as this is my first time working on a truck frame. Any opinions are appreciated. I can post pictures if I need to.
    Thank you

    Thack,
Sorry for the late response. It’s the 5.7 with 4wd. I had been looking for a long time for one and finally came across one that wasn’t too far away. Unfortunately it came with a little bit of rust but it’s coming along nicely
