I’ve been thinking a lot on bigger tires for my truck. The stock 265s they leave on these trucks that come with the factory 3” lift doesn’t look even close to right. I’ve gone back and forth on a set of methods with tires, but I’ve decided I want to stick with the factory 20” wheel.

It’s a shame 35s will not fit on the stock 20” TRD wheel without making contact with the front sway bar.

It’s got me contemplating 1” spidertrax spacers for the truck when I put 35s onto the stock wheels. I’ve never done spacers and know a lot of people talk shit on them. Seems these Spidertrax are pretty legit unless someone can chime in stating otherwise.

My truck isn’t a daily, I drive it a couple of times a week with the family and will take it on an occasional road trip.

If anyone has done this can you comment here your experience please?

My 24 has 35” ridge grapplers on it. No problems at all even at full turn. They are basically 35x11.5 tires. I’d give you the exact size but I’m in a rental… again.

I’d also run skinny 35s vs running a spacer. I’ve driven a 3” trd lift (albeit on 32s or whatever comes from the factory), and compared to my ~2” level and zero offset wheels, the steering characteristics were closer to a non-lifted truck. If that’s what you’re looking for, I’d say go that route. If you like the look of a little more poke, it’s not a drastic change or bad to daily drive, just different.

I just put some Cooper 35's on mine. I installed a leveling kit before hand, but not sure that's even needed. From what I read these trucks can handle 35's with no issues, or maybe having to trim a tiny bit but nothing crazy.
